The New DPSAC Kiosk Employment Questionnaire Module

The Division of Personnel Security and Access Control (DPSAC) is happy to share some new updates to the Kiosk that currently exists in the main office on the NIH Bethesda, MD main campus, located in Building 31, Room 1B03.

The DPSAC Kiosk was originally created with custom software allowing customers the opportunity to electronically complete and submit the OF 306 form directly to the DPSAC office. The customer simply:

  1. Logs into the Kiosk.
  2. Enters their NIH HHS ID number to allow the Kiosk program to validate the customer.
  3. Completes the form.
  4. Signs the form using the provided stylus.
  5. Submits the form when finished.

Now, the DPSAC Kiosk software has been updated and includes new software that allows DPSAC customers to submit employment history information required for completing the DPSAC prescreening process. This new feature allows customers to fill out information regarding their employment history while providing a standard means for DPSAC to assess potential breaks in service of an applicant's employment history, which is a required step in determining reciprocal consideration of prior background investigations. Applicants will see the screenshots below as they navigate the Kiosk and can list out all employment activities accordingly.

While the majority of the NIH population can use the DSPAC Kiosk to submit his/her OF 306 form, the new employment questionnaire is reserved for contractors only.

There will be interactive validation checks occurring while the applicant completes the employment questionnaire. Once completed, the employment questionnaire will be saved as PDF and auto-filed to the individual's case in DPSAC's processing system. The screenshot below showcases an example of how the employment questionnaire will look in a PDF format, as this standardized format will help DPSAC assess break in service of employment history or reciprocal consideration.
