Opting Out of Unwanted Advertising Mail

If you are getting frustrated with receiving large amounts of unwanted advertising mail, there are two available option to eliminate them at no cost to those placing requests.

To opt out of regular direct mail offers:

Go to the National “Do Not Mail" list to opt-out of regular direct mail offers.

Once you submit the initial information form, you will be able to opt out of some or all of your direct mail solicitations. Direct Mail will then contact you every six months via email so you can review and update your preferences.

The website also has links to other opt-out services, such as to the “do not call" list.

To opt out of credit and insurance offers:

Consumers who wish to opt-in or opt-out of firm (preapproved/prescreened) offers of credit or insurance, can visit the official Consumer Credit Reporting Industry website.

Once you opt out, the credit reporting agencies will no longer include your name on the lists of those who would qualify for such offers.

You can opt out for 5 years, or permanently.
