Keeping the Holiday Spirit During a Pandemic

Holiday Spirit

NIH Clinical Center Parking Attendant Staff continue the holiday tradition of decorating their parking booths and the patient transportation golf carts during the pandemic in hopes of bringing smiles and good cheer to NIH patients, visitors, and staff.

The tradition of parking attendants decorating their booths has been ongoing for the last 15 years and the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services (DATS) has received numerous compliments from both employees and patients such as, “I just wanted to say that we have received wonderful feedback from patients and staff coming through screening about the beautiful Christmas decorations in P1 garage…Thank you for bringing holiday cheer to the P1 parking garage.”

The parking attendants in the Clinical Center P1 Garage who participated in decorating their booths and patient transportation golf cart were Menbere Haile, Emebet Hailu, Bekele Tadesse, and Gemechu Buddia. They are very gratified to bring a little joy to everyone during the holidays and are enamored by the excitement and enthusiastic responses from the patients and staff. Louise Davis from the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services who oversees the parking contract for the Clinical Center, says she is immensely proud of all the parking attendants who always go above and beyond in providing service to the NIH. We are fortunate to have such dedicated contractors!
