Postage Rate Increase for Summer 2024

Postage Rate Increase for Summer 2024

As of July 14, 2024

  • 1-ounce stamped letter size pieces increased to $0.73 each
  • 1-ounce metered letter size pieces increased to $0.69 each
  • 1-ounce postcard increased to $0.56 each
  • 1-ounce Flat size pieces increased to $1.50 each

While the price for mailing a U.S. First-Class letter has risen to new highs this summer and although feeling a bit of sticker shock at this point is understandable, it's important to remember that the USPS 1-ounce First-Class letter remains a relative bargain in the postal world. Many other countries, even much smaller ones, are paying close to or even higher postage rates than we do here in the USA.

Canada = $0.78
United Kingdom = $1.76
Germany = $0.93
Australia = $1.01
Mexico = $0.59'
France = $1.25
Japan = $0.54
