Parking Attendants Show Holiday Spirit

Every year, the NIH’s parking attendants celebrate the holiday season with a tradition of decorating their parking booths to bring smiles and good cheer to NIH patients, visitors and staff.

This tradition has become a contest to see who has the most holiday spirit with the winning groups names added to a special plaque.

To help determine the best decorated booth, Office of Research Services (ORS) Acting Director, Tim Tosten, NIH Police Deputy Chief, Leslie Campbell, and Director, Division of Personnel Security and Access Control (DPSAC), T’Nae Brown, formed a fair and impartial panel of judges.  The contest was very close, but for the second year in a row, the winner was the Clinical Center Garage, P-1 Level!  The winning team even decorated the patient transportation golf cart!  The winning parking attendants include Menbere Haile, Gemechu Buddia, Bekele Tadesse, Gedlu Melke, Emebet Hailu and Getahun Gebremariam.

Louise Davis from the NIH Transportation Services Branch, a part of the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services (DATS), was very proud of all the parking attendants who always go above and beyond in providing service to the NIH. Louise congratulated the winners and thanked all the participants.
