On Monday, April 4, 2016 the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) released the 2016 Wellcheck results for all federal agency worksite wellness programs.  The 2016 Wellcheck was completed by 361 worksites across 42 federal agencies. Wellcheck was first implemented in 2009 by OPM and is an evidence-based tool that collects information on federal agencies’ worksite health & wellness programs at specific work locations. WellCheck results help agencies measure the comprehensiveness of their program while identifying program strengths and areas that need or can be improved.

For 2016, NIH scored 277 out of a possible 286 points. This ranks NIH 1st in Health and Human Services for the second consecutive survey and 4th overall in the entire Federal Government, up from 8th in 2014.  It is worth noting that during the 2016 submittal, NIH implemented Worklife and Wellbeing Training for Supervisors and Managers.
