Nursing Mothers Program

The Division of Amenities and Transportation Services is pleased to announce that the Nursing Mothers Program is now part of Child and Family Program services. We are happy to continue the great work of the Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS).

To assist mothers who are breastfeeding and returning to work, the NIH Nursing Mothers Program provides services that address many of the concerns that future and current nursing mothers may have about breastfeeding. The program provides the emotional support and worksite assistance nursing mothers need to make the return to work less stressful.

The Nursing Mothers Program provides the following services:

  • Prenatal breastfeeding education classes
  • Telephone support with our lactation consultants
  • Return-to-work consultation
  • Onsite lactation rooms

You must be enrolled in the Nursing Mothers Program to take advantage of these services. For more information, visit our website.
