NIH’s parking attendants continued their annual holiday tradition of decorating campus parking booths to provide all NIH patients, visitors and staff with the festive holiday spirit. This decorating tradition has grown into a contest of sorts with the winners receiving a pizza luncheon and their names added to the “plaque” of winners. To keep the contest judging fair and impartial, a panel of judges was formed of the Office of Research Services (ORS) Acting Director, Tim Tosten, Kweku Pesseh, NIH police officer, and Michelle Mejia, DATS employee. This year’s contest was very close, but ultimately the Clinical Center Garage, P-1 Level, was selected as the Holiday Decorating Contest Winner. This year’s winners even decorated the patient transportation golf cart! The winning parking attendants include Menbere Haile, Gemechu Buddia, Bekele Tadesse, Gedlu Melke, Emebet Hailu, and Getahun Gebremariam.

Louise Davis, a DATS employee, who oversees the parking contract, was very proud of all the parking attendants and offered congratulations to them for always going above and beyond in providing service to the NIH.
