NIH Launches Redesigned Personal Health and Wellness Site

The NIH produces and disseminates valuable knowledge promoting personal health and wellness to U.S. citizens and people around the world. Fittingly, the NIH offers health and wellness information to its own employees through its Wellness@NIH website. The site, created and maintained by the NIH Health and Wellness Council and the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services, was recently relaunched and enhanced. Whether you were previously aware of this resource or not, now is a great time to check it out.

The Wellness@NIH website serves as the NIH's information clearinghouse on all things related to health and well-being for employees. The website discusses fitness, nutrition, tobacco-free, work-life balance and employee safety. Wellness@NIH supports a holistic approach to employee well-being and allows the NIH to “take its own best advice.”

One of the biggest changes to the new site is the conversion of Wellness@NIH from an internal site to a website available to the general public. This allows the NIH's efforts on enhancing health, extending life, and reducing illness and disability to reach a wider audience. Additionally, the new site is now mobile-optimized, allowing users to view the site on phones and tablets.

If you have questions or comments about the new site, please contact the Fitness and Well-being Program Manager, Mr. Chris Gaines, at gainesc@mail.nih.gov or by phone at 301-451-3631.
