Feds Feed Families is Here

Did you know that the NIH community has been participating in the Feds Feed Families campaign since 2009?

Did you know the Feds Feed Families campaign was launched during the summer to help food banks meet the increased demand for food during summer break, when donations are typically lower and families with children do not have access to school meal programs?

Did you know in 2022 the national campaign raised more than 8 million pounds of food and in-kind donations to food systems nationwide? The NIH raised over 118,000 pounds of food.

Did you know your donation can be purchasing groceries and having them delivered to a local food bank pantry, making a monetary donation online, donating to local food drives and/or logging in your volunteer hours?

Did you know you now have two quick and easy ways to donate during your purchase transaction at all Eurest run cafeterias?

At all Eurest run cafeterias (10B1 Cafeteria, CRC Starbucks, 35 Cafeteria), you can request the addition of a donation be added to your receipt in denominations of $1, $5 and $10. All donations at the Eurest cashier stations will be distributed equally amongst our four local recipient partners (The Children's Inn, Safra Family Lodge, Manna Food Center and the Capital Area Food Bank).

Want to donate later while eating or while "on the go"? Be on the lookout for signs in the cafeterias with a QR code and a link to a Eurest-sponsored payment page where you can make a direct donation to one of the four local recipients and have that donation recorded as being affiliated with NIH automatically.

For information on other ways to donate and record your donation, please visit the NIH Feds Feed Families site
