Serving the NIH Community

Because of a lapse in government funding, the information on this website may not be up to date, transactions submitted via the website may not be processed, and the agency may not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted. The NIH Clinical Center (the research hospital of NIH) is open. For more details about its operating status, please visit cc.nih.gov. Updates regarding government operating status and resumption of normal operations can be found at opm.gov.

International Services Provides All Immigration Services

The Division of International Services (DIS) resumed full operations after a lapse in appropriations. Between October 1st and November 12th, DIS staff in excepted status worked to maintain the immigration records of all NIH sponsored foreign national scientists.

Remember, DIS is here to serve the NIH by providing exceptional immigration-related services. Immigration questions from NIH sponsored scientists should start at DIS. You can find all our services, including individual appointments and Drop-In Advising. Visit our website! For any inquiries, contact DIS@mail.nih.gov
