DIS Launches the Customer Portal

The Division of International Services (DIS) is happy to announce the launch of the DIS Customer Portal! This launch occurred in December 2022 and comes after years of development between DIS staff and the Office of Innovation and Information Technology (OIIT).

The DIS Customer Portal provides access to detailed information regarding the immigration status of Foreign National (FN) Scientists in the NIH Visiting Program. This initial release of the portal allows administrative staff and foreign national scientists to see real-time updates on the status of their cases at DIS. This feature of the customer portal replaced the Case Status and Reports system, which has since been discontinued. Additionally, IC administrative staff can run a Term Report to learn not-to-exceed dates of FN scientists within their IC. The DIS Customer Portal guide is available on the DIS website to help IC Administrative Staff navigate the new system.

Eventually this portal will allow ICs to submit case requests to DIS electronically, rather than uploading to our SharePoint site. More information will be provided as new features are added. DIS expresses its gratitude to OIIT for their countless hours of work developing this important system. We are confident that the DIS Customer Portal will serve as a great resource to our administrative and scientific community.
