Child and Family Programs Welcomes DeAnna Knox!

DeAnna Knox is the new Child & Family Program Specialist for DATS. She is transferring from the Department of Defense with 23 years of experience working with Child & Youth Services and families. She takes pride in supporting families by helping reduce the conflict between mission readiness and their parental responsibilities, as well as providing exceptional customer service to all those we serve. DeAnna is very excited to embark on this new journey with DATS and not only share the knowledge that she has learned but also develop new skills and knowledge.

 

During non-work hours, DeAnna is very involved with family life. She has a daughter who participates in recreational and AAU travel basketball. She is very involved with the team and serves as the “Team Mom." Most of her evenings and weekends are consumed with watching her daughter practice and play in games and tournaments. Additionally, DeAnna comes from a large family and enjoys spending time with them and attending family events.

 

DeAnna comes from a military family and was born in Augsburg, Germany. She has traveled to many places such as Germany, Japan, Texas, California, Arizona and Maryland. She has lived in Maryland for the past 25 years and has made it her home with her husband and daughter. DeAnna has a master's in education from the University of Phoenix and has worked in the Early Childhood Education field while working in the federal government for 23 years.  ​​
