Relocating to a new office space, having a common name or commonly misspelled name, or packages requiring a signature, are all instances where using a mail stop code (MSC) would help get your mail/packages delivered faster. Adding your MSC to NED can help the mail delivery person locate the receiver even with a wrong address.

The Division of Mail Management Services (DMMS) uses the NED lookup system every day to find the location of NIH employees with outdated work addresses. When your NED address includes your current MSC, the DMMS can find you quickly and get your mail to you without delay.

For more information or questions about mail management services, contact DMMS at (301) 496-3586.
