2026 Safety, Health and Wellness Day

NIH's Safety, Health and Wellness Day is back for 2026! The event will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10:00am – 2:00pm, in the Building 10 South Lobby on the NIH Bethesda campus. Everyone is welcome.

 This popular in-person event celebrates and raises awareness of health, safety and wellness for our workforce and is held every June to celebrate National Safety Month.  This year's event focuses on enhancing employee safety awareness and preventing or reducing work-related injuries and illnesses. A wide range of safety and health promotion exhibits offered by the Office of Research Services, such as: Laboratory Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Department, Police, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Fall Protection, Wellness, NIH Family and Child Care, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Radiation Safety and more, will be present.     

NIH Safety, Health and Wellness Day is hosted by the Office of Research Services. Additional staff supporting the day include: the Occupational Safety and Health Committee,  NIH Food and Dining Services, NIH Recreation & Welfare Program, the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services, and more.
