Feds Feed Families Campaign

NIH Director, Dr. Collins participating in the Feds Feed Families Campaign.

This summer, NIH workers can fight hunger by donating non-perishable food and hygiene items to the Feds Feed Families (FFF) Campaign! In just a little over six weeks, NIH has already collected close to 8,000 pounds of goods – that’s amazing, and we thank you for your generosity. All donations will directly benefit individuals and families served by three local organizations: the Children’s Inn at NIH, the Safra Family Lodge, and the Capital Area Food Bank. With your continued support, NIH can meet its 2015 goal of donating 20,000 pounds to help alleviate hunger.

The FFF campaign runs through October 2.  There are four ways to donate, and we’re especially excited about a NEW option: “NIH Fighting Hunger Vouchers,” now available for purchase in the following five NIH cafeterias:

  • Building10 2nd Floor ACRF
  • Building 10 B1 Level
  • Building 31
  • Building 35A and
  • Building 45

For more information on the many ways you can donate, see below:

      • NIH Fighting Hunger Vouchers (monies collected from program will be used to purchase items towards our NIH goal of 20,000lbs)
      • Donate items at any of the on and off campus drop-box locations
      • Drop off donations at Fill the Truck Days
      • Donate goods online via your preferred online grocery retailer

The NIH campaign is led by the Office of Research Services. For additional information, contact FedsFeedFamiliesNIH@mail.nih.gov, visit the program website www.ors.od.nih.gov/FedsFeedFamilies, or follow us on Twitter @NIHEmplSrvcs and tweet your pictures and comments to #NIHFeedsFamilies.
